Scope
This part of GB/T 9771 stipulates the geometric, optical, transmission characteristics, mechanical and environmental performance requirements of B1.2 cut-off wavelength shifted single-mode fiber, and specifies the measurement method of fiber characteristics. The zero-dispersion wavelength of this type of fiber is around 1310nm, the cut-off wavelength is moved to a longer wavelength, and the attenuation is the lowest in the 1550nm wavelength region, and the best working wavelength is in the range of 1530nm to 1625nm. This part applies to B1.2 single-mode optical fibers used in communication optical cables and other information transmission equipment, especially for B1.2 single-mode optical fibers used in submarine communication optical cables.
