Introduction
Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution
GB/T 9966.4-2020 is a comprehensive upgrade of the 2001 version of the standard. The main technical improvements include:
| Technical Dimensions | 2001 Version | 2020 Version |
|---|---|---|
| Test Methods | Disc Wear Method Only | Newly Added Grinding Wheel Grinding Method |
| Equipment Parameters | Disc Diameter Not Clear | 254±1mmStandardized |
| Specimen Requirements | Drying temperature 105℃ | Adjust to 65±5℃ |
Details of core test methods
Disc wear method (method A)
Applicable to raw material testing such as raw materials, key technical parameters:
- Disc speed: 45±1r/min
- Total load: 2000g
- Abrasive flow rate: 60-70g/min white corundum (0.25mm)
Grinding wheel grinding method (method B)
For finished product testing such as composite boards, core innovation points:
Test case of a marble crystallization plate:
A grinding wheel with a diameter of 200±1mm was used, and a constant load of 14kg was applied. The abrasive flow rate was precisely controlled at 4.0±0.1L/min. After the test, the groove width was measured by a digital diameter gauge with an accuracy of 0.05mm.
Implementation suggestions
- The laboratory should establish a test process for abrasive moisture content (required to be <1%)
- For anisotropic stone, the sample direction must be indicated in the report
- Regularly calibrate the abrasive flow device (60s collection volume 4.0±0.1L)
