Raw material control requirements

The standard clearly stipulates that the raw material must be fresh Cordyceps militaris fruiting body, and the mushroom body must be complete and yellow or orange in color. In actual production, it is recommended to establish a raw material acceptance system, focusing on the following checks:

  • Freshness: Processing within 24 hours of harvest
  • Microbiological control: Total mold count ≤10,000 CFU/g
  • Pesticide residue screening: Refer to the limits for 58 pesticides in GB 2763

Drying Process Optimization

To achieve the ≤12% moisture requirement, a gradient drying method is recommended: 40°C for initial drying for 2 hours → 55°C for main drying for 4 hours → 35°C for final drying for 2 hours. One company has demonstrated that this process can increase cordycepin retention by 15%.


Precautions for Detection Method

Special attention should be paid to cordycepin detection:

  1. Use 50% methanol solution for ultrasonic extraction during sample pretreatment
