Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

Inspection dimensions Requirements for male mink fur Requirements for female mink fur
Total length of last 115cm 115cm
Maximum width 11.5cm 8.5cm
Middle groove specifications Length 71cm×width 0.5cm Length 71cm×width 0.5cm

Key Quality Index Grading System

First-class leather standard: Must simultaneously meet the following core indicators: needle-hair ratio 1:1.2-1.5, hair density ≥12,000 hairs/cm², and injury area ≤0.5cm². Typical cases show that the compliance rate of North American shorthair sable is only 15%.

Technology Evolution Analysis

Compared with the 2008 version of the standard, the 2019 version has the following major improvements:
1. Added five-level classification of color clarity (blue/cyan/red/brown/mixed)
2. Refined the size classification to 11 levels (No. 50-No. 5)
3. Clarified the rules for determining the utilization value of substandard B-grade leather

Implementation Suggestions

  1. The inspection room needs to be equipped with a standard light source (color temperature 6500K)
  2. It is recommended to use the "shaking skin method" combined with an electron microscope for hair density testing
  3. For urine yellow skin, physiological yellowing and pathological yellowing should be distinguished
