Introduction
Standard Framework and Technology Evolution
This standard, as a supplementary specification to the NY/T 1164 blue fox fur standard, establishes for the first time a complete quality evaluation system for raw fox fur. Compared with the 2003 version of the industry specification, eight new innovative indicators, including needle-down length ratio (3.13) and hair flexibility (3.16), have been added to reflect the refined requirements of modern fur processing for raw fur.
Analysis of core terms
| Terms | Definition points | Application cases |
|---|---|---|
| Seasonal leather | Mature leather in winter, with complete growth of needle hair | Necessary conditions for first-class leather |
| Good board quality | The leather board is flexible without any defects and has sufficient oiliness | Important indicators for distinguishing tangerine peel |
| Flexible hair | The characteristic of rapid recovery after shaking | Detecting the health of hair follicles |
Key points for implementing the grading standards
First-class leather judgment standards
Must meet the following requirements: seasonal leather, needle hair coverage ≥ 90%, down density ≥ 1500 hairs/cm², and the leather is white and flawless. Typical example: silver fox leather collected in Northeast China from December to January.
Principles for handling damaged skin
- Secondary parts: single hole ≤2cm is allowed
- Main parts: any tracer injury is prohibited
- Urine yellow determination: downgrade if the contaminated area exceeds 10%
Suggestions for optimizing inspection methods
The "three-step inspection method" is recommended:
- Preliminary inspection: check the integrity of the leather shape while measuring the size
- Hair inspection: measure the needle hair density ratio according to method 4.6.1
- Plate inspection: detect skin plate damage by strong light transmission method (refer to QB/T 1263)
Note: In winter, the room temperature must be kept above 15℃ to preventRaw fox skin The board becomes hard and affects the judgment
