Introduction
Analysis of Standard Core Parameters
| Technical Dimensions | GY/T 307-2017 | ITU-R BT.2020-2 | Differences |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resolution Standard | 7680×4320/3840×2160 | Same as left | Fully adopt international standards |
| Frame Rate Configuration | 120/100/50Hz | 8 types including 24-120Hz | Delete North American frame rate |
| Color gamut range | CIE(0.708,0.292)(0.170,0.797)(0.131,0.046) | Same as left | Maintain BT.2020 color gamut |
Key technology implementation plan
Photoelectric conversion characteristics
Use segmented gamma correction function:
- Low brightness area: E'=4.5E (E<0.018)
- High brightness area: E'=1.099E0.45-0.099 (E≥0.018)
Note in actual application:
The 10-bit system uses α=1.099/β=0.018, and the 12-bit system uses α=1.0993/β=0.0181 to ensure a smooth transition.
Production Implementation Recommendations
Signal Format Selection
- Studio Production Prefers R'G'B' 4:4:4 Format
- YCBCR Constant Luminance Mode is Recommended for Post-Production
- Y'CBCR Non-Constant Luminance Mode can be Used for Conventional Production
Equipment Configuration Requirements
Display devices must meet the following requirements:
- Support for the ITU-R BT.1886 Electro-Optical Transfer Function
- The working environment must comply with the ITU-R BT.2035 standard
- Color Gamut Coverage ≥ 95% BT.2020
Standard Evolution Analysis
This standard achieves localization adaptation by removing North American frame rates (such as 60/1.001Hz) while retaining the core UHDTV parameter system. Given the rapid development of HDR technology, it is recommended that subsequent versions add the following:
- PQ/HLG transfer function
- 10-bit/12-bit quantization depth specification
- HDR metadata packaging scheme
