Scope
This specification is the basis for the engineering design of radio and television satellite earth stations. It is suitable for new construction, reconstruction, and expansion, operating in C-band (6/4 GHz) and Ku-band (14/12 GHz, 17/11 GHz), transmitting video and audio and data fixed service broadcasting and television satellite earth stations. This specification does not apply to satellite news gathering SNG earth stations and very small antenna aperture terminal VSAT earth stations.
