Scope

This specification stipulates the selection of supplier (hereinafter referred to as the user) by the user (aircraft manufacturer, research institute or material focal point designated by the Ministry of Aeronautics and Astronautics), the identification of the supplier's production qualifications, the metallurgical process of the supplier and its inspection methods, semi-finished products Engineering approval requirements and procedures for quality control and supplier plant approval requirements and procedures for major changes. This specification applies to suppliers that provide metal materials or forgings for the manufacture of important structural parts for civil aircraft. Suppliers of important metal materials and forgings for military aircraft may also refer to this specification. All materials or forgings that need to be approved by this specification must have this specification number marked on the design drawings or relevant technical documents or contracts. This specification will have regulatory effect only after consultation with and acceptance by the supplier. When semi-finished materials or forgings need to adopt this specification, it is used together with the material standards and forging standards.
