Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for floating head and tube graphite heat exchangers. This standard applies to floating head tube-type graphite heat exchangers (hereinafter referred to as heat exchangers) made of impermeable graphite tubes and impermeable graphite materials bonded with graphite phenolic adhesive.
