Scope

Important note: The strong acids and alkalis used in this standard are corrosive, so care should be taken when using them. If splashed on body, rinse with plenty of water. This standard specifies a method for the gravimetric determination of sulfate content in scale and corrosion products in industrial circulating cooling water. This standard is applicable to the determination of fouling and corrosion products in industrial circulating cooling water systems.
