Standard Revision Background and Technology Evolution
As a replacement version of HJT 311-2006, HJ 311-2017 reflects the three major upgrade directions of my country's gas stove environmental protection requirements: refined pollutant control (new NOx and noise limits), full life cycle management (addition of recycling design clauses) and expansion of hazardous substance control (addition of 6 types of restricted substances). This standard forms a complementary system with safety and energy efficiency standards such as GB 16410 and GB 30531.

Interpretation of key innovation clauses
5.1.1 Recycling design specifications
Requires the recycling rate of gas stoves to be ≥75%, and mandatory identification of material types for large plastic parts (>25g or 200mm²). Case shows: A certain brand of built-in stoves uses modular design to make the proportion of detachable parts such as cast iron burners and stainless steel panels reach 82%.
5.3.4 Noise control
For the first time, the noise limits for household (≤60dB) and commercial (≤80dB) are distinguished, which is about 5dB stricter than the EU EN30 standard. The difficulty in implementation lies in the optimization of the burner structure, and it is recommended to use porous ceramic flame stabilization technology.

- Material substitution plan: It is recommended to use halogen-free flame retardant PP to replace bromine-containing flame retardants, and silicone seals to replace PVC
- Key points for process improvement: The welding process needs to establish a lead-free process verification process (lead content ≤1000ppm)
- Testing and certification path: Household stoves are tested for NOx according to Appendix B of GB 16410, and commercial stoves refer to CJ/T 28

A certain model of commercial gas stove passed the certification through the following modifications: ① Premixed combustion technology is used to reduce NOx to 55ppm ② The packaging is changed to honeycomb paperboard (heavy metals <80mg/kg) ③ A recycling QR code is added to the product nameplate.
