Scope
Warning: Contaminated soil samples will produce toxic gases during the acidification and heating process. The sample handling process should be carried out in a fume hood and appropriate protective measures should be taken. This standard specifies a gravimetric method for the determination of water-soluble and acid-soluble sulfates in soil. This standard is applicable to the determination of water-soluble and acid-soluble sulfates in air-dried soil. To measure water-soluble sulfate, when the sample amount is 10.0g and extracted with 50ml water, the detection limit of this method is 50.0mg/kg, and the measurement range is 200~5.00×l0mg/kg; when the sample amount is 50.0g , when extracted with 100ml water, the detection limit of this method is 20.0 mg/kg, and the determination range is 80.0~1.00×l0mg/kg. For the determination of acid-soluble sulfate, when the sample amount is 2.0 g, the detection limit of this method is 500 mg/kg, and the determination range is 2.00 × 103 ~ 2.50 × 10 mg/kg.
