Scope

This standard specifies a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of polybrominated diphenyl ethers in soil and sediments. This standard is applicable to the determination of 8 polybrominated diphenyl ether congeners in soil and sediments. When the sampling volume is 10.0 g and the constant volume is 1.0 ml, the detection limit of tri- to heptabromodiphenyl ethers determined by this standard is 0.1 to 0.2 mg/kg, and the lower limit of determination is 0.4 to 0.8 mg/kg; The detection limit of decabromodiphenyl ether is 2.7 mg/kg, and the lower determination limit is 10.8 mg/kg.
