Scope

This standard specifies the classification and nomenclature, requirements, test procedures and methods, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of catalytic converters for gasoline vehicles. This standard applies to original catalytic converters for gasoline vehicles and catalytic converters for accessories. This standard also applies to catalytic converters for vehicles burning CNG and LPG.
