Scope
This standard specifies the safety requirements that should be followed in the design, manufacture, installation, use and maintenance of various industrial centrifuges with metal drums (lined or unlined). The safety requirements and/or measures contained in this standard apply to some, but not all, of the major hazards that may arise during the service life of the centrifuge. This standard also specifies the inspection and determination methods for the safety performance of centrifuges. This standard applies to centrifuges for all industrial purposes.
