本标准适用于对大批量生产的磁性材料进行分类。

Scope

This standard is suitable for classifying mass-produced magnetic materials. The term "magnetic material" refers to substances that have ferromagnetic or ferrimagnetic properties in applications. In this standard, the classification of magnetic materials is based on the recognized main two categories of products:
 ——Soft magnetic materials (coercive force ≤ 1000A/m);
 ——Permanent (hard) magnetic materials (coercive force > 1000A/m) . Within these main categories, the following characteristics can be identified when the classification is reasonable:
 ——the main alloying elements, metallurgical state and physical properties of the material;
 ——the interrelationships between these characteristics can be identified when possible and convenient. Classification according to specific areas of application does not apply to all materials, since different materials can often be used for the same purpose depending on their required properties.
