Scope

This standard specifies the cutting tools, test blanks, cutting fluids, test equipment, cutting specifications, hob life criteria, test steps and data processing involved in the hob life test. This standard is applicable to the life test of uncoated and unstrengthened high-speed steel gear hobs with a modulus of 1mm~10mm in laboratories and production plants.
