Introduction

Standard Overview

JB/T 12596-2016 was proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation and specifies the technical requirements and test methods for metal capacitive pressure sensors. This standard applies to industrial sensors that measure pressure through the change in the capacitance of metal capacitors.

Key technical requirements

1. Static performance

The standard specifies in detail the zero output, full-scale output, nonlinearity, hysteresis, repeatability and other indicators. Taking the 0.05-level sensor as an example, its nonlinear error shall not exceed ±0.03%FS, and the hysteresis error shall be ≤0.04%FS.

2. Environmental adaptability

The sensor needs to pass environmental tests such as low temperature (-40℃), high temperature (125℃), and damp heat (95%RH). After the test, the insulation resistance should remain ≥20MΩ (test voltage 500VDC).

Implementation suggestions

1. Selection guide

Select the appropriate range (0-0.15kPa to 0-40MPa) and accuracy level according to the measurement requirements. Products certified by GB3836 should be selected for explosion-proof sites.

2. Installation and maintenance

It is recommended to use a two-wire wiring method (DC24V±10%). Avoid severe vibration during transportation and storage. The environmental humidity should be kept ≤80% for long-term storage.

3. Periodic Inspection

Factory inspection is carried out according to Article 8.2 of the standard. The type inspection cycle shall not exceed 3 years, with emphasis on zero point stability and insulation performance.
