Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, tolerance levels, classification and drawing marking, chemical composition, mechanical properties, casting dimensions, surface quality, internal quality, defect correction and casting delivery requirements for magnesium alloy castings of rock drilling machinery and pneumatic tools. This standard is applicable to sand or metal magnesium alloy castings of rock drilling machinery and pneumatic tools, but not to die-cast magnesium alloy castings.
