Scope

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for constant-speed, integral gear-increasing assembled centrifugal air compressors, including their ancillary equipment. This standard applies to centrifugal air compressors that transport air and non-toxic gases other than air. This standard does not apply to machines above atmospheric pressure that produce a pressure rise below 0.35 bar (50 psig). These machines can be classified as blowers in ventilators. Note: There is a black dot (●) before a certain clause, indicating that the buyer needs to make a decision or provide more detailed information. This information should be indicated in the data sheet (see Appendix A), otherwise it should be stated in the inquiry or in the order contract.
