Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs and markings, and periodic inspection requirements for LNG tank containers for LNG tank containers. This standard applies to vacuum-insulated LNG tanks with a design pressure not greater than 1.0MPa. The requirements set forth in this standard are basic requirements. LNG tanks that comply with this standard can be suitable for road, rail and waterway transportation as well as intermodal transportation between these modes of transportation.
