1 Scope

1.1 This standard specifies technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as identification and marking for tanks of road tankers for cryogenic liquid (hereinafter referred to as "cryogenic road tankers").
1.2 This standard is applicable to vacuum-insulated cryogenic road tankers that design pressure of their tanks is not less than 0.1MPa and their volume is greater than 1m3 and they are permanently connected with chassis of the approved road vehicle or frame of the semitrailer.
1.3 This standard is not applicable to the design and manufacturing of non-ferrous or non-metal tanks.
1.4 For tanks of cryogenic road tankers that can't be designed according to this standard, they are allowed to be designed by the following methods; however, the methods shall be assessed and approved by the National Technical Committee on Boilers and Pressure Vessels of Standardization Administration of China.
a) Stress analysis, including finite element method;
b) Verification test analysis (such as experimental stress analysis and hydraulic verification test);
c) Comparison experience design with comparable in-service structures.
1.5 When this product is designed, manufactured, tested and inspected according to the enterprise standard, the safety technical requirements in the enterprise standard shall be examined by the National Technical Committee on Boilers and Pressure Vessels of Standardization Administration of China.
