Scope

This standard specifies the working conditions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of protective relays for ship power systems (hereinafter referred to as relays). This standard applies to relays used for protection in AC and DC ship power systems with voltages of 1kV and below. This standard does not apply to thermal relays and relays whose input excitation quantity is non-electricity (such as gas and liquid volume relays).
