Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for welder qualifications, surfacing materials, process qualification, surfacing technology, quality inspection, defect repair, etc. for plasma arc surfacing of valve sealing surfaces. This standard is applicable to the manufacturing and inspection of plasma arc surfacing cobalt-based, nickel-based, iron-based alloy powder materials for valve sealing surfaces used in general, power stations, and petrochemical industries such as carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel.
