Scope

This standard specifies the types, technical requirements, test and inspection methods, inspection rules, installation and use requirements, marking, packaging and storage requirements for mechanical seals used in boiler feed water pumps. This standard applies to mechanical seals used with boiler feed water pumps where the boiler water temperature is not higher than 260°C.
