Introduction

Interpretation of the Standard's Core Content

JB/T 6822-2018 replaces the 1993 version of the standard, adding six new performance indicators, including base strain sensitivity, and revising key technical parameters such as the lateral sensitivity ratio. This standard applies to the design and manufacture of piezoelectric accelerometers, covering a frequency range of 5Hz-30kHz and an acceleration measurement limit of up to 10^5m/s².

Innovation in test methods

The standard adds Chapter 7.17 to specify 6 special performance tests:

  1. The base strain sensitivity test adopts the cantilever beam method (Appendix A)
  2. The acoustic sensitivity test requires a 130dB sound field environment (Appendix B)
  3. The magnetic sensitivity test adopts a 0.01T alternating magnetic field (Appendix E)

Typical case: At a test frequency of 160Hz, the sensitivity linearity of a certain model of shear sensor reaches ±1.5%, which is better than the standard requirement of 3%.


Implementation Recommendations

1. Factory inspection must include 13 mandatory inspection items (see Table 1). It is recommended to add temperature cycle pretreatment.

2. Type inspection sampling plan shall be implemented in accordance with GB/T 2829, discrimination level II, RQL=20.

3. For high temperature sensors, special attention should be paid to the temperature response test in Appendix F.
