Scope
This standard specifies the main dimensions of the seal cavity of built-in mechanical seals. This standard is applicable to the seal cavity of built-in mechanical seals. It does not apply to radial double-end mechanical seals, nor does it apply to the seal cavity of a host that does not have a cylindrical cavity on the casing, such as the mechanical seal cavity of a water pump in an automobile internal combustion engine. .
