Scope

This standard specifies the metallographic structure grade, inspection and evaluation methods of rare earth eutectic aluminum-silicon alloy pistons after heat treatment. This standard is applicable to the inspection of the metallographic structure of rare earth eutectic aluminum-silicon alloy pistons of reciprocating internal combustion engines with a cylinder diameter less than or equal to 200 mm:
