Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, raw materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of caulking gypsum. This standard is applicable to gypsum-based caulking materials used for filling gaps or leveling in gypsum board construction. Other caulking materials or gypsum-based materials used for caulking other types of boards may also refer to this standard.
