Introduction
Standard Overview
JC/T 2518-2019 is my country's first building materials industry standard for hydrophobic silica aerogel powder, which was issued and implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2019. The standard specifies the classification system, technical requirements and testing methods of the product, and is applicable to the production and quality control of aerogel materials used in building insulation, industrial insulation and other fields.

Key technical requirements
1. Determination of tap density
Use the method specified in GB/T 21354. Note:
- Samples with particle size>0.45mm need to be crushed and passed through a 40-mesh sieve
- Use an analytical balance with a range of 100g and an accuracy of 0.1mg
- Glass measuring cylinder specifications: 10cm³ volume/0.2cm³ graduation value
2. Specific surface area test
According to GB/T 19587 volumetric method execution, key points:
- BET method calculation pressure range: 0.04-0.30MPa
- Pore volume takes P/P₀=0.992-0.995 adsorption amount
- Parallel sample allowable deviation ≤5%
