1. Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and installation for the devices of preheater and precalciner systems (including the feed chamber, cyclone, ventilating duct, precalciner, tremie pipe, expansion joint and air-lock valve).
This standard is applicable to the devices of preheater and precalciner systems (hereinafter referred to as "preheater and precalciner"); it is also applicable to other preheaters.

The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments to (excluding amending errors in the text), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest edition of the normative document is applicable. 3. Technical Requirements

3.1 Basic requirements
3.1.1 The preheater and precalciner shall meet the requirements of this standard and shall be manufactured, installed and used according to the drawing and technical documents approved through the specified procedures. If the technical requirements are not specified in this standard, drawing and technical documents, the requirements of building materials industry and electromechanical industry shall be met.
