Scope
This standard specifies the safety technical requirements for port platform cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes) in terms of design, manufacturing, installation and testing, use and maintenance, repair and inspection. This standard applies to cranes used for loading and unloading general cargo and bulk cargo operations at ports. Cranes used for container loading and unloading operations can also be used as a reference.
