Introduction

Core changes in the standard revision

Technical elements MT/T 674-1997 KA/T 3-2023 Key points of changes
Water tank capacity Designed according to the normal water inflow of 4h Graded design (1000m³/h as the boundary) Add special design requirements for mines with complex hydrology
Water suction well arrangement Filter spacing 2DN Spacing ≥3.5DN Optimize water flow pattern to prevent cavitation
Disaster resistance system Not separately specified Requirements for newly added independent water tanks Must accommodate the maximum water inflow for 1 hour

Technical requirements for key equipment

Layout specifications for main drainage pump room

According to GB/T 50451:

  • The foundation of the water pump is 50mm above the ground, and the spacing on the maintenance side is ≥700mm
  • Calculation formula for the diameter of the water distribution gate valve: DN≥27√Q (Q is the maximum flow rate in m³/h)
  • Temperature control ≤34℃, a cooling system must be installed if the limit is exceeded

Special requirements for submersible pump wells

  • The water inlets are arranged in a staggered manner, with a spacing ≥1.5 times the diameter of the water inlets
  • The bottom silt holding space is ≥0.5m, and a submersible mixer
  • The load-bearing beam needs to withstand a safety factor of 1.5 times the water hammer dynamic load

Implementation recommendations

  1. Transition from old to new systems: Existing MT/T 674-1997 equipment should complete compliance transformation by the end of 2024
  2. Construction of disaster-resistant systems: Mines with complex hydrology need to complete the construction of independent drainage pipelines before 2025
  3. Intelligent monitoring: It is recommended to configure an online monitoring system for multiple parameters such as water level, vibration, and temperature

Technology evolution analysis

This standard reflects three major technological trends:

  • Enhanced safety redundancy: Systematic design of disaster-resistant drainage system from scratch
  • Equipment adaptation optimization: Special specifications for new equipment such as submersible electric pumps
  • Strengthening energy efficiency control: Clarifying the hard indicator of power consumption of ≤0.5kW·h per ton of water per 100 meters
