Introduction

Standard Overview

MH/T 2006-2013 specifies the minimum performance requirements for flight recording systems of small aircraft with a maximum certified takeoff weight of ≤5.7 tons, covering the four major recording systems: flight data, cockpit audio, airborne imaging and data link information.

Comparison of core performance requirements

System type Storage duration Key indicators Survivability test
Flight data recording system ≥25 hours Bit error rate≤10⁻⁶ 1000g shock/1100℃ fire
Cockpit audio system ≥2 hours 16bit/44.1kHz PCM 4.54kN static extrusion
Airborne imaging system ≥2 hours Class A 4fps/Class B 1fps Optical resolution ≥256lp/IH

Key technical specifications

1. Flight data recording system

  • Parameter recording: Mandatory recording of 22 basic parameters such as heading and pitch angle (Appendix A)
  • Synchronization accuracy: Time deviation of each channel ≤4ms
  • Software level: Must comply with DO-178B Level E or above

2. Cockpit audio system

Case: A general aviation aircraft needs to start recording 5 minutes before the engine starts, the recording delay needs to be controlled within 50ms, and the regional microphone needs to meet 94dB dynamic range.

Implementation suggestions

  1. Newly installed airborne systems need to pass ground playback verification (Clause 5.7)
  2. Regularly check the aging of the recorder's flame retardant material (Clause 3.4)
  3. Establish a data erasure approval process to prevent accidental deletion of accident data (Clause 4.7.2)
