Introduction

Standard Overview

MH/T 4041-2014 was proposed and managed by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and specifies the technical requirements for the communication protocol interface, telegram format, system composition and terminal equipment of the automatic reporting system. The standard applies to the design, construction and operation of the automatic reporting system of civil aviation control.

Core Technical Requirements

Communication Interface Specifications

Interface TypeProtocol StandardRate RangePhysical Specifications
Synchronous InterfaceITU-T V.35/X.2564kbps-2MbpsDB34/DB25 DTE
Asynchronous InterfaceRS232/Current Loop50bps-19.2kbps9-pin/25-pin D-type
Ethernet interfaceIEEE 802.310Mbps-1GbpsRJ-45

Telegram format standard

SITA telegram structure

  1. Header: Contains circuit identification, sequence number and UTC time
  2. Receiving address: Supports three-level structure of redirection line/short address line/normal address line
  3. Priority: SS (highest), QU (urgent), GA (normal)
  4. Body: Limited to 69 characters/line, total length ≤3840 characters

AFTN special processing

  • The address code adopts an 8-bit character structure (country code + place name code)
  • The priority is divided into multiple levels such as SS/DD/FF/GG
  • Support message segmentation identification (PART n CONTINUED)

System architecture design

Business processing subsystem

Redundant server configuration is adopted, and the following needs to be implemented:

  • Code conversion (ITA-2/IA-5)
  • Routing check (support fuzzy address matching)
  • Message storage and forwarding (historical records are retained for ≥3 months)

Monitoring subsystem function

  1. Real-time channel status monitoring
  2. Manual intervention of error messages
  3. Traffic statistics (by address/time period/type)

Implementation suggestions

Terminal equipment selection

Processing capacityRS232 interface ≥ 2000 copies/hour
Query responseCombined conditions ≤ 5 seconds
Alarm functionNeed to distinguish between types such as communication interruption/distress messages

Operation and maintenance points

  • Regularly check the continuity of the serial number (reset at UTC 00:00)
  • Configure the primary and backup routing switching mechanism (QSP official telegram trigger)
  • Establish a message exception handling process (PDM/COR mark application)
