Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the calculation method for the vis osity-gravity constant (VGC) of petroleum fractions. This standard is applicable to the calculation of the vis osity constant of petroleum fractions with a kinematic vis osity greater than 4 mm/s at 40°C. 1.2 Appendix A specifies the method for calculating the vis osity constant using Saybolt vis osity (SUS) and relative density. 1.3 This standard adopts the International System of Units [SI] units. The units in brackets are for reference only. 1.4 The use of this standard may involve certain hazardous materials, operations and equipment. However, not all safety is ues related to this are addressed. It is the user's responsibility to establis appropriate safety and protective measures and determine the applicability of relevant regulatory limitations before using this standard.
