Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the approximate temperature and enthalpy value of a trace sample using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and the method for determining the approximate temperature and enthalpy value of a trace sample using differential thermal analysis (DTA). method. This standard applies to samples exis ing in solid, liquid or slurry form. This standard is applicable to tests conducted in inert gases or reactive gases, with a temperature range of 27°C ~ 1200°C. This standard uses International System of Units [SI] units. The application of this standard may involve certain hazardous materials, operations and equipment, but it does not make recommendations on all safety is ues related to this It is the user's responsibility to establis appropriate safety and protective measures and determine the applicability of relevant regulatory restrictions before using this standard. See Chapter 8 for special safety precautions.
