Scope
This standard specifies methods for determining the pour point of petroleum products using automatic instruments. The instrument tilts the pour point tube during the cooling process while using optical instruments to examine movement of the sample surface. This standard is applicable to the determination of pour point of petroleum products. The applicable range of this standard is from -66℃~51℃. The measurement results are determined based on the selected measurement temperature interval (1°C interval or 3°C interval). This standard is not applicable to the determination of crude oil pour point.
