Introduction

Analysis of Standard Technical Framework

Technical Module Core Method Accuracy Requirement
Industrial Analysis Core Calibration Regression Method/Volume Model Method Ash Content Error±3%
Gas Content Calculation Langmuir Equation/Kim Method Adsorbed Gas Content Error±0.5m³/t
Porosity Assessment NMR Logging/Volume Model Method Absolute Error≤1PU

Key technical implementation points

1. Coal seam identification and division

Based on density logging (cutoff value 1.75g/cm³) combined with sonic time difference characteristics, coal seams with a thickness of ≥0.5m are divided into layers. In special cases, the interference of carbonaceous mudstone needs to be excluded.

2. Comparison of gas content calculation models

Langmuir equation is suitable for scenarios with isothermal adsorption experimental data, while Kim method requires comprehensive coal seam pressure, temperature and other parameters. The practice in a certain mining area shows that the difference between the two is ≤8%.

Standard Evolution and Industry Impact

This standard systematically integrates the coalbed methane logging interpretation process for the first time, replacing the scattered technical requirements in the original SY/T series. The 2018 industry survey showed that the interpretation compliance rate increased by 12% after adopting this specification.

Implementation Suggestions

  • Preferably use array acoustic logging to obtain rock mechanical parameters
  • Establish a regional coal rank-logging response relationship database
  • For interlayers with a thickness of less than 1m, it is recommended to use 0.2m resolution processing
