Scope

This part specifies the base material, manufacturing, mechanical properties, non-destructive testing and other technical requirements for grade 2 and 3 carbon steel and low alloy steel butt-welded seamless pipe fittings for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant equipment and piping systems. This section applies to grade 2 and 3 carbon steel and low alloy steel butt-welded seamless pipe fittings formed from steel plates or seamless steel pipes and with a nominal wall thickness not exceeding 80 mm for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant equipment and piping systems. This section does not apply to forged socket welding fittings, threaded fittings and elbows for main steam piping systems.
