Scope
This part specifies the requirements for the manufacturing, testing, inspection and acceptance of manganese-nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel forgings for reactor coolant pump motor shafting drive shafts, intermediate shafts and motor couplings in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. The drive shaft in the rough machining state is a solid cylinder with a central cross-sectional diameter of about 700mm, and other forgings are hollow cylinders with flanges with a wall thickness of 50mm~100mm. This section applies to manganese-nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel forgings for reactor coolant pump motor shafting drive shafts, intermediate shafts and motor couplings in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants.
