Scope

This part specifies the technical requirements for manufacturing, chemical composition, mechanical properties, testing and inspection of alloy steel forgings for reactor coolant system supports. This section applies to the manufacture of chromium-molybdenum and chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy steel for steam generators and reactor coolant pump dampers, manganese-nickel-molybdenum alloy steel for reactor pressure vessel support supports and reactor coolant pump supports. The upper U-shaped insert is made of chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy steel forgings.
