Scope

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for seis ic instrumentation systems installed in nuclear power plants. This standard applies to seis ic instrumentation systems used for monitoring in onshore light water reactor nuclear power plants. Seis ic instrumentation systems of other types of nuclear facilities can also be implemented with reference. This standard does not apply to: a) Seis ic instrumentation systems that automatically trigger shutdown of nuclear power plants when predetermined ground acceleration is reached; b) Procedures and data processing for seis ic instrumentation record evaluation.
