Scope

This standard specifies the function, performance and design requirements of the emergency diesel generator lubricating oil system and its components in light water reactor nuclear power plants. The purpose is to ensure that the lubricating oil system can provide adequate lubrication for the emergency diesel generator and to ensure that any operation in the power plant Under working conditions, emergency diesel generators have sufficient lubricating oil available according to system performance and design criteria. This standard gives the design requirements for all mechanical equipment related to the lubricating oil system of emergency diesel generators, but these equipment do not include equipment installed on the diesel engine body. For equipment whose lubricating oil system is directly installed on the diesel engine body, this standard only applies to the interface design between these equipment and the system. This standard also includes requirements for lubricating oil system instrumentation and control functions. This standard does not apply to external supporting power equipment, control panels (panels), switch cabinets, cables and other electrical equipment for the operation of lubricating oil systems, unless used to determine interface requirements.
