Scope

This standard specifies the purpose, tasks and requirements of nuclear power plant environmental radioactivity background surveys, survey scope, location principles, survey content and frequency, sample collection, monitoring methods, data processing, quality assurance/quality control and report writing requirements, etc. This standard is applicable to the environmental radioactivity background investigation of nuclear power plants during the charging license application stage, and can be used as a basis for relevant work carried out by the units responsible for the environmental radioactivity background investigation task of nuclear power plants. This standard is also applicable to environmental radioactivity background surveys at other stages of nuclear power plants, but the survey scope, content and frequency can be simplified appropriately.
