本标准规定了商用电热开水器的术语和定义、分类和命名、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输、贮存等。
本标准适用于公共场所（如学校、医院、工厂、机场等）供给沸水的器具，其额定电压单相器具不超过250V，其他器具不超过480V。对于储水式开水器，其额定容积应不小于10L；对于连续式开水器，其额定制水量应不小于25L/h。

Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and nomenclature, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of commercial electric water boilers (hereinafter referred to as "water boilers"). This standard applies to appliances that supply boiling water in public places (such as schools, hospitals, factories, airports, etc.). The rated voltage of single-phase appliances does not exceed 250V, and that of other appliances does not exceed 480V. For a storage-type water boiler, its rated volume should not be less than 10L; for a continuous water boiler, its rated water supply should not be less than 25L/h. The electrical parts of appliances that utilize other forms of energy are also within the scope of this standard. This standard does not apply to:
　——Appliances designed for industrial use;
　——Appliances with electrode heaters;
　——Appliances used in places with special conditions such as corrosive or explosive gases (dust, steam or gas).
