Standard Background and Scope of Application

As China's first industry standard specifically formulated for sodium chloride, an ion exchange resin regeneration agent, QB/T5775-2022 fills the standard gap in the field of domestic water softening treatment. This standard is applicable to flake/granular water softening salt products made by physical compression of edible salt as raw material, and its core application scenario is the regeneration of sodium sulfonate ion exchange resins.

Ion binding calculation system

The standard innovatively establishes a 7-step ion binding sequence calculation model: calcium sulfate→magnesium sulfate→sodium sulfate→calcium chloride→magnesium chloride→potassium chloride→sodium chloride. This algorithm ensures the scientificity and reproducibility of the calculation of sodium chloride content by giving priority to the principle of combining high-valent ions.


Key points of quality control

  • Raw material control: must comply with GB2721 edible salt standard
  • Moisture determination: 140℃ drying method is adopted, and the influence of crystal water needs to be calculated
  • Sampling plan: 15 samples need to be taken for batches of more than 2,000 pieces
