本标准规定了商用车辆后置液力缓速器及其控制器的术语和定义、性能要求、试验方法。本标准适用于串、并联结构的后置气控液力缓速器，其它控制方式的后置液力缓速器可参照执行。不适用于前置液力缓速器和集成于变速器的液力缓速器。

Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, performance requirements, and test methods for commercial vehicle rear hydraulic retarder (hereinafter referred to as "hydraulic retarder") and its controller. This standard is applicable to rear-mounted pneumatically controlled hydraulic retarders in series and parallel structures. Post-mounted hydraulic retarders with other control methods may refer to this standard. This standard does not apply to front hydraulic retarder and hydraulic retarder integrated in the transmis ion.
