Scope

This standard specifies the metallographic structure grade, inspection and evaluation of automobile engine pis on with wear-resis ant ring (hereinafter referred to as ring pis on). This standard applies to eutectic aluminum-silicon alloy ring pis ons for automobile engines with cylinder diameters below 200mm.
