1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for testing hardness of auto steering-wheel with PU foam as the wrap layer material.
This standard is applicable to PU foam wrap layer materials for steering-wheels of passenger cars and commercial cars.

3 Term and definition
For the purpose of this standard, the following term and definition apply.
3.1
shore L hardness
shore L hardness refers to the hardness expressed by pressing a press needle with a specified shape into a specimen under standard spring pressure and converting the pressed depth of the press needle into a hardness value
4 Specimens
Two steering-wheels. The surface of the specimens must be free of air holes, foreign matters and other defects, and the outer surface must be closed. The production time of specimens shall be at least 3 d.
